Here is a reminder of how to re-ink with the Vintage Stampin' Ink refills:

Re-inking a Vintage Ink Spot is different than re-inking a Classic Stampin' Pad or Spot. To create a distressed, aged appearance, a Vintage Ink Spot should be drier than a Classic Stampin' Pad. When it's too dry–that is, the ink applies more lightly than you like on your projects–you should re-ink the Spot. To re-ink your Vintage Ink Spot, do the following:

1. Using the eyedropper in the Vintage Ink Refill, apply ink one drop at a time in equal, thin stripes on the pad. Do not saturate the pad; it needs to be drier than a Classic Stampin' Pad. Let the ink settle into the pad for a few minutes before continuing.
2. Using the edge of a credit card, drag the ink diagonally across the pad from corner to corner. This will ensure that the ink is heavier in some places than others, which is necessary to create a distressed appearance.
3. Blot lightly with a paper towel to remove excess ink.

Looking for a unique way to spend a fun evening with friends?

If so, I’d like to invite you to a fun-filled card-making event!

Every person will make 12 cards; 3 each of 4 different designs. All supplies will be provided and no stamping experience is necessary to join the fun!

You can attend Stamp-A-Stack!  Because Stamp-A-Stack is on the go!

My wonderful sister, Mary Kay has graciously agreed to host a Michigan Stamp-A-Stack for me again.

Here's how it works:

1) sign up & pay class fee

2) show up & stamp

3) have fun

4) you're done!

Well, it's a little bit more than 'just' that...

*Your part*

~The first thing that I'll need from you is to send me your sign up sheet and class fee for Stamp-A-Stack on the go. I'll need them by Wednesday, October 12, 2011...this is a MUST! Pre-registration (including payment) is required.

~Next, I'll prepare a packet for you and it will be anxiously awaiting for you to touch, caress, ooh and aah over it's loveliness.

~Then, you'll arrive at Mary Kay's home on Friday, Nov 11, 2011 at 7:00 pm and stamp, stamp, stamp!

~You'll go home with twelve completed cards and envelopes (3 each of 4 cards)

*My part*

~After I collect your sign up sheet and class fee, I'll notify you via phone or email that it's been received.

~Next, I'll prepare your packet and mail it to Mary Kay

~I'll be providing all the stamps, cardstock, ink, embellishments, etc to complete your cards.  FYI: since I will not be mailing my Big Shot or punches out there, some items might already be die cut, punched, etc.

~Also provided will be completed samples of all of the cards you'll be making.

3D roses & butterfly

One month for Stamp-A-Stack I did all cards with roses...which are my favorite flower along with white daisies. To me, there is nothing more beautiful than having white daisies peek out in between deep red roses.

This card was made a while back and I realized that I didn't post it. So, here it is.

I started off with Always Artichoke for the card, layered Bashful Blue (sponged with White Craft for a cloudy look) & then added my leaves, roses and butterfly.

The leaves are made with the Sizzix Big Shot and the Little Leaves Sizzlet (exclusively Stampin' Up!). The butterfly is Beautiful Butterflies die (also exclusively Stampin' Up!) and then textured with the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1.

Last, but not least...here is kit #3.

I used the same layout at kit #2 except I changed the patterned paper to Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper. And, instead of using flowers, I decided to make these a bit more simple looking with circles and buttons.

They're very clean looking.
