season of friendship

What a great fall card! Even though our temperatures here in Southern California are still in the 100's. Wanted to show you the really cute idea of using a jumbo eyelet as a tire swing.

with sympathy

I'm organizing....slowly. And I keep coming across cards that I've made and never blogged. So, be prepared.

This is another Stamp-A-Stack card from about a year ago. The words were fonts I chose from my computer, printed and then punched out.

It's mostly non-Stampin' Up! stuff. Only the Organdy Ribbon (which is retired), the 1-3/4" Circle punch and the Top Note die.

manhattan flower textured impressions

I love this card. It was for Stamp-A-Stack a couple of months back. It was really easy too. The hardest thing about it was taking the time to put the ribbon together....and, that just took patience.

black-eyed susan

ok....why does everyone keep calling this a Sunflower? It's 'clearly' a Black-eyed Susan. Well, at least it is to me....

Anyways, it's been my new favorite flower and I've been making a lot of them. See my original one here. I changed the color from Chocolate Chip to Basic Black and decided I like the Chocolate Chip better. It's softer and more appealing to me.

These were made to swap at a Stampin' Up! meeting I went to...hence the basket full of them.

old convertible

Not only is this an old convertible, it's an old card.

A while back a friend of mine asked me to make some invitations for a surprise birthday party for her (then) boyfriend.
He was turning 50 and she wanted to make it a 50's theme.

This is what I came up with....a card that looks like an old photograph.
Inside had all of the invitation info that I printed out from my computer.
She loved it.

She also asked me to make centerpieces for each of the tables. each one was a box of candy from the 50's & she made them into door prizes.
I also made party favors (thank you for coming) with personalized m&m's.
Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of those to show you.

However, she said it was a great turn out & everyone loved the whole theme.

For Stamp-A-Stack card number four, I changed the layout yet again. I also changed the colors of cardstock, ribbon, stamp set and punches.

For the layout, I simply turned the card 1/4 turn.

the best is yet to be

Because the Flower Pot card was so time consuming at Stamp-A-Stack, I wanted to make the other three cards fairly simple. I loved the layout of this card I saw on Patty Bennett's blog.

So, I took Patty's basic layout & changed the colors & stamp set. What I came up with for card number one was the following...

~All supplies Stampin' Up! unless noted~

Recipe

Stamps Best Yet (retired Level 1 Hostess), Stars & Swirls (retired)
Ink Brocade Blue Classic, White Craft
Cardstock Kraft, Brocade Blue, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper Print Pattern II (Level 1 hostess retired)
Punches 1-3/4" circle, Scallop Edge, Large Star
Ribbon 5/8" White Grosgrain
Accessories SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Technique Tearing

flower pot card

After seeing so many of these cards floating around on websites and blogs, I wanted my ladies to make them for Stamp-A-Stack.

Every one I saw was all so unique and pretty. I decided to make it easier on my ladies and die cut a whole lotta flowers in a whole lotta colors with my Sizzix Big Shot.

Otherwise, we'd have been sitting there ALL night stamping & cutting out flower after flower after flower. I reeeeaaally think that they were grateful that they didn't have to do that.

So, here's the finished project...

FYI: I took Patty Bennett's idea and brayered Dusty Durango Classic Ink onto the bottom of the flower pot to give it a terra cotta look.

~All supplies Stampin' Up! unless noted~

Recipe

Stamps Birthday Wishes (retired)
Ink Dusty Durango Classic
Cardstock Kraft, Dusty Durango, Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Not Quite Navy, Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, Almost Amethyst, various current & retired scraps
Sizzix Big Shot Flower Layers, Flower Layers #3
Punches Rectangle hand held, Scallop Edge, Curly Label
Ribbon 1/4" Black Grosgrain
Accessories 12" cutter, Stylus, Mono-multi Adhesive, Brayer, SNAIL Adhesive

And...lookie here...a link for a printable pattern I found on Andrea Wolford's blog. She rocks, by the way!

Super cute box

Easy, easy box! Especially with double sided Designer Series Paper.
And so cute too!

I made this for my goddaughter. She graduated from High School and I bought her a pendant and earrings. Thought that they would fit perfectly in this little guy.

Jumping Jacks

My nieces (Sarah & Stella) went to Jumping Jacks in Rancho Cucamonga. They were invited for Pattee's 6th Birthday Party.

This is Pattee and his dad...

Everyone was having a great time!

They were running around so quickly that I wasn't able to get good pictures of them unless they stopped to pose.

See what I mean?

Aren't they adorable?!!

Thanks for stopping by.
